So most of my decorations are up and I've spent days perusing my pumpkin patterns trying to decide which one to carve this year. I think I'm doing two. One will be a version of my paranormal team's logo (I just have to figure out what I want to shade): The other? Some of you have seen the shirt. ;D So what's everybody else got planned?

Spent today on this pumpkin. Now on to the other two.

Excellent, T'! I love Halloween, but considering my house is decorated with skulls and gargoyles and tombstones year round, I don't go all-out on the holiday decorations.

Too early and hot to carve pumpkins. They always get too mushy if I start this early. Excellent gourd, T.

Thanks! I don't do real pumpkins because I spend so much time carving them and I want them to last. Every year I buy a fake one and carve something new. I think I'm up to 14-15 now.

Okay, I'm going to show my ignorance.... Where do you find fake pumpkins?

^Any craft store. Michael's, Joann's. They're foam and easy to cut.

Dremel make not work on a real one, T', but it's amazing what you can do with a hammer, chisel, and chainsaw. Not that I would know from experience or anything...

You can tell it's October. The local papers have started looking for Halloween related topics to write about and our group seems to be great for this 'filler'. Here's the first to pop up, in the local university's student paper. Fortunately, they asked Lou (our researcher) to submit it. Very cool T! I miss the old days of Ghost Hunters when they did an actual live investigation on Halloween night instead of the best of, with periodic breaks to go to the phones and report on what the audience might have seen from the safety of their computer screens...

So I've been accumulating songs for the season on Facebook and thought I'd share my list so far. If anyone is having a party and looking for some music maybe you'll find some ideas from my list. I tried to find a variety of unique stuff, not a Monster Mash in sight! ;D If you have some favorites, let me know! I'm always looking for more!
T's Halloween Soundtrack
Ghost Riders in the Sky (Blues Brothers version is my favorite)
Hell - Squirrel Nut Zippers Tell Tale Heart - Alan Parsons Project
Phantom of the Opera - Me First & The Gimme Gimmes (kick ass version, trust me) Addams Family Groove - MC Hammer Werewolves of London - Warren Zevon
Monster - The Automatic
This Masquerade - George Benson
Put a Spell on You - Screamin' Jay Hawkins is the classic, but I love Bette Midler's version from Hocus Pocus
Eyes of the Night - Starlight Mints
Land of the Dead - Voltaire (Any of his stuff, really)
Nosferatu - Blue Oyster Cult
Ghost Dancer - The Addrisi Brothers (I've said it before, I'll say it again. I make no apologies for my love of disco)
Season of the Witch - Dr. John
Sympathy for the Devil - The Rolling Stones
Time Warp - Rocky Horror Soundtrack
I Want Candy - I actually like Good Charlotte's version, a lot.
Thriller - OK, that's a given.
Danse Macabre - Camille Saint-Saƫns (There are a lot of creepy classical pieces. This one is my fave)
The Devil Went Down to Georgia - Charlie Daniels Band
Superstition - Stevie Wonder
