I think it has more to do with the fact it's HBO. Violence and horror are better implied, IMO.

I can handle the gory better than the boy on boy sex. I know in the back of my head thay's all fake. The boy on boy stuff is really real. Sorry man love creeps me out. We all have our "eww eww eww moments" and that's mine.

While we were on vacation we actually got HBO at one of the hotels...it wasn't quite first run, but we actually got to see an episode durring the season!!!
