Lights! Camera! Action!
Casting is now open for Blood Law: The Movie and you get to pick the lead roles. This poll is for the lucky actor who will play the role of Varik Baudelaire.
So, Minions, who will it be....
Note: No, there is no actual film deal in the works. At least not to my knowledge. Then again, I'm usually the last person to know anything.

You're actually allowing someone to pick aside from Ben?

Ben is still my ideal choice but I'm willing to foster discussion.

I remembered him being mentioned in Carolyn's class once or twice.

Ben Barnes is TOO YOUNG looking. Cute, but doesn't work for me. However, by the time they actually get around to making a movie, maybe he will have aged and look more mature. Then I will happily agree to give Ben Barnes a personal screen test!!! lol

To answer the issue of Ben Barnes being "too young" looking, may I direct your attentions to page 47, where I describe Varik thusly: "His features didn't hold the rugged look of some men but maintained a youthful softness." Sooooooo....I intentionally made Varik younger looking, despite the gray hair. Therefore, Ben is perfect for the job....and I'll be the one giving him a screen test, thankyouverymuch.

I remembered him being mentioned in Carolyn's class once or twice. Someone mentioned Chris Bale in class? How did I miss that! Don't get me wrong... wonderful actor... but I don't think Varik. I love to see how different people envision book characters.

But you said I could be the on set consultant. Remember? I'll bring my boots and red wig in case they need an Alex understudy.

You can be my on-set assistant and the Alex understudy. Does that work?

Not really. I think Igor is more "Yes, Master" kinda guy.
