March is going to be busy. I'm attending a local writers' retreat weekend March 11-13. Then March 25-27 I'm off to MidSouthCon in Memphis. In between I'm writing (duh) and anxiously awaiting news on both renewal of Alex series and the sale of a second series. Plus I'm organizing the summer tour for BLOOD SECRETS. Lots of online stuff already scheduled and I'm still working on signings and such. BLOOD SECRETS swag is in the works as well, but you're gonna have to wait to find out more about it. Yes, I'm evil.  So...what are y'all doing? |

Well, first half of the month I'm at home making sure things are running smoothly with the expanded family...go back to work the 16th...Aside from that, currently up in Maine visiting the in-laws...

DL, so exciting about the new addition! Saw the pics on FB. What a cutie!
Ailish is home for spring break. Tonight we're heading out to a Mardis Gras celebration and tomorrow we have a paranormal team meeting. The rest of the week is work, work, work. Ailish did inform me that on Tuesday night we have to watch Blues Brothers 2000 and The Princess and the Frog. I guess I'm cooking gumbo too.

We watched The Princess and The Frog, too! Had pork chops, red beans 'n' rice, and King Cake for dessert on Fat Tuesday. Chris got the baby, so we made him buy another king cake...he said it was child abuse, making him spend his money like that. LOL!

^I really liked Princess & The Frog.
Finals are over, so I can breathe for a couple weeks. (After some important court crap, I will breathe a sigh of relief.)
But I have time this morning to play online without thinking, "I should REALLY be doing homework/studying..." So I had to come check in!

Yay for new additions! Yay for finals! Yay for food!  I spent last weekend with Michelle, and she and I (and Alexis dropped by for a bit) attended the Daddy's Girls Weekend writer/reader conference in Ocean Springs, MS. It was AWESOME! (Pics are available on Facebook. Just check out my Wall and you'll find a bunch of them.) Well, it was awesome once we found the place. Ocean Springs is Michelle's adopted home town and we still got lost! Had to turn around 3 or 4 times before we finally found the resort. But it was worth it. We hung out with authors Carolyn Haines and Dean James, and screenwriter David Sheffield (he wrote Coming to America and Nutty Professor for Eddie Murphy). Ms. Agent and Benjamin Leroy, the publisher for Tyrus Books, were also there. It really should be illegal to have that much fun. I laughed so much my face was cramping. Carolyn wants to make this an annual event so I'll keep y'all posted on next year's DGW. Would love to see y'all there! Oh...and there won't be a second series anytime soon. Ms. Agent and I decided to pull it from submission for now. Still waiting for news on a renewal for the Alex series. |
