It is with a heavy heart that I must inform my readers that Leslie Esdaile Banks -- LA Banks -- passed away this morning, August 2, 2011, after a battle with cancer.
If you haven't read Leslie's books, I highly recommend you do so. She was a great influence on me. While I only met her once -- last year at CONvergence in Minneapolis -- I was honored to sit with her on a panel discussion. She was a kind, generous woman and a superb writer.
The literary world is a little darker today because of her passing.
