Lol! No, Book 3 doesn't have a title yet....not unless you want to use mine. Pick from any of the following: "Oh, Hells No -- She Dinnit!" "BOOM! Everybody Dies." "OMG! WTF? BBQ!" "Varik's Contractual Nakedness" "And We're Walking..." ;D I choose "Varik's Contractual Nakedness". But I have a personal stake in that title.

My day started out pretty crappy, but I managed to salvage it...I retired from the day job!

My car AC is broken. Two days ago the AC in my store went out. It's been 98 degrees every day and 90 degrees in my store, no windows. Today they said the part might come in about a week. I don't know if heat stroke is covered by workman's comp and if one more customer says (30 seconds after walking in), "It's hot in here" I'm going to snap. They'll find me rocking in the back room, babbling and shooting Lance Armstrong bracelets at anyone that comes near me.

T , I feel for you...I can't breathe when it is that hot. I hope it is fixed soon....get some fans to move the air around at the very least and charge them to the company!

Ew, T. I feel you. That happened years ago at the Disney Store when I worked there... it was miserable and hell compounded with "whistle while you work" playing over and over again only made hell more alive for me.

Debi, I can't breathe when it's too hot either. Michelle, it's not funny, but your phrasing: "only made hell more alive for me" made me giggle. I can symphatize.

My job has evolved once again. It happens every time someone is fired, promoted or quits. Now I get to mow a designated area of grass. It's not that big of a patch but it still took me almost 2 hours to do it. The hard part was along the fence line. The grass was thick there and there were stickers and vines to stall out my self propelled mower. Knowing I had to get it done, I started as soon as i got to work. It was a great idea because I was done before the temp got over 80. I'm not complaining but I liked my job better when all I had to do was sit here and look pretty.

...and now I am sad.
A co-worker that i like was a few minutes ago. I could see he was upset. When I asked what was wrong, he said his dad died this morning.
I had to fill out the paperwork to let our bosses know he'll be out next week. I know how he feels and I always find words totally inadequate in these situations. I remember how meaningless it all sounded to me when I was going through it when my mom died.
