No... not a famous author. Lol. He works offshore--science stuff. But I'm still kind of trying to figure out how I got roped into hosting a family Christmas party for his side... when he won't even be here. ::scratches head::

Wow! Lots going on this month! My employee's wife just had a baby too. The only thing is, she wasn't due until the end of December. The little guy weighed 1lb 10oz, 12 inches long. He's in ICU, but all things considered he's doing well. They couldn't agree on middle names, so they gave him both. His name weighs more than he does, Tristan Alexander Xavier Hamilton. Little Tristan got to come home this week! He now weighs 6lbs 5oz. Considering he was almost 3 months premature, he's doing pretty awesome. .

Whew, it's been a rough week. A friend I've known for over 10 years passed away last week and his funeral was Monday night. He was also a manager at a nearby RadioShack. He was working by himself (as most of us do in the mornings) and had a sudden heart attack. His asst manager showed up just a few minutes after it happened but there was nothing he could do. He was only 49, which is pretty scary. There was so many people at the funeral the funeral home had to open up two more rooms and extend the chairs by another 10 rows. He touched so many people. I managed to make it through the whole thing until the end of the service when a single bagpiper came through playing Amazing Grace. I lost it then. If you have a few moments, send good vibes or prayers or whatever you do to his wife, Cheryl. She's already survived so much. Last year, after spending 2 years on dialysis, she had a kidney transplant. It's a long recovery process she's still struggling with. Anyway, thanks for putting up with my dumping on you guys. HUG.

Big big hug to you, T. I know how you feel. Blessings to all those grieving that they might find strength. The body dies but the love always remains.

Hello y'all.
As some of you have noticed, i have been pretty absent lately. Being a teacher is not easy in these days and I am suffering a lot of stress. My writing has been stopped by the circumstances. I am planning and researching, but the school is draining almost all my energy.
Unfortunately I will not be able to be at Murder by the Book when Jeannie comes here to present Blood Secrets. I have been a year away from Spain and my family and due to the circumstances i really need some time with them. I will buy a copy of the book so Jeannie can sign it at the bookstore and I will pick it up when I come back, but i would have loved to spend some time with our mistress and her trophy husband.
Well, I hope all of you are well. I will be lurking around and I hope that next time i can share better news.
Lots of love. A. Marchena

I'm sorry to hear all that, Antonio, but I completely understand needing to spend time with family. You'll be missed at MBTB. Hope all goes well with your family.
