I make a mean omlet! The irony is I'm not a big fan of eggs...*shrug* Go figure...but I do like a good breakfast for dinne...around here we have IHoP...

As much as I like eating at places like IHop or Denny's(we have neither here) I like making my own breakfast. I can pick and chose what I want in my eggs, which I don't like without at least some cheese on them, and whatever else i want to go with them.

My synopsis got stomped again in the writers forum. New people wrote and critiqued-- ones I've admired for their insight & advice on others' work. Never expected them to venture over to mine. (I'm so speshul). Anyway... was dejected all day because my synopsis still sucks which could mean my plot is what sucks. Went into total brooding-writer mode. I was moving pieces of plot around in my head, muttering to myself while clicking my pen "on" and "off" on my teeth and staring at a page full of scribbled thoughts and ideas. Managed to get car-sick since I was doing all this while Josh drove us around shopping for crap.

Then I get home and the best guy has written again and offered his help by "showing his work" -- emailed me his process of a major overhaul of his novel (induced by his own poor synopsis) which has turned out much better. It seems very promising and its so nice to know people haven't given up on me- even after slogging thru three of my failed attempts. Now I'm in a weird mood. I sigh a lot, am becoming one with the gloom, and have no desire to go out and be social, but I'm in really good spirits (because I don't feel like I'll have to wrap my manuscript in a paper bag, tie it up with chains, and throw it in the ocean anymore).

P.S. I like waffles. Breakfast is the best meal of the day and should replace all other meals.

Sorry you got stomped on Alexis. I think the difference between writers and wanna-be writers is that writers keep at it. And that writing is a process of spewing words and then hacking them up in edits until the work is perfected. So what you are going thru is just part of the process - a process that will make your final work that much better!! You can do it! And you can always name characters after people that annoy you and kill them off!

Today was a good day... i was traveling into work today with drizzle and mist over the harbour! And it struck me just how beautiful it looked.. i like to revel in small moments each day.


Then I saw two people sucking face like one was the hoover and the other the carpet... it was gross! PDA.. is icky! I fixed it by having a delicious Vanilla Chai Latte! LOL

Well there is pda and get a room PDA.

My day started with a near heart attack when my alarm went off and blasted me out of some cool dream I was having. I got to work and was told the AC is broken.

I got to spend the whole day here with the windows and door open fighting flies and other bugs with a weak assed fan trying to stir the moisture laden air around the steam pot called my office. It rained just enough to raise the humidity level about 30%.

I get to go home soon, 1 hour or so and I am really looking forward to it. Kick back in my cool ac'ed house and watch legend of the Seeker while I blow crap up on my 'puter.

I'm very happy with my puter now. I've not had one crash since I got it back. I need to call those guys thank them for a job well done.

Today was a good day today. Exciting news at my new job we are moving to a building that is shiny and new... no more 70's decor! hellllloooo sleek & modern!
